Golf Putting Drills for Long Putts

Golf PuttingLong putts can be troublesome, but not impossible to master. Hitting the Golf Ball with enough force to produce the right amount of speed is very important for any putt, but it’s even more important when dealing with long putts. Many golfers find is helpful to imagine a target about six inches behind the cup when they are golf putting. Aiming a short distance beyond the cup will ensure that your ball will not run out of steam before reaching the cup. Being unsure of the strength of stroke needed is a common complaint among novices. Get a hands on feeling for your golf putting by picking up the golf ball and going through the motions of rolling it to the cup. This drill helps golfers visualize the speed necessary to sink their ball.
